Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of progressive hotel sales experience preferred
- or a 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience
- or a 2-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience
- must have a valid driver’s license in the applicable state
- must possess highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- must have thorough experience with professional selling skills
- must show strong analytical skills and strategic vision
- must be proficient in Microsoft Office products
- must be able to work independently and multitask
- must have strong organization and presentation skills
- must demonstrate ability to effectively interact and manage people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds
- must have advanced knowledge of sales, marketing and hospitality principles
- must work well in high pressure situations maintaining composure and objectivity
- must be able to work with financial information and data and basic arithmetic
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Coordinate all group, transient, and catering sales solicitations and bookings to maximize overall revenue
- develop, recommend, implement and manage annual budget and advertising, public relations, marketing and sales plans and programs for the hotel
- proactively conduct outside sales calls, conduct sales tours and entertain clients
- understand and negotiate contract terms
- develop and maintain market awareness to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive strategies
- monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate market trends
- adhere to company regulations, standards and sales metrics
- comply with individual and team goals and budgeted metrics
- train hotel staff to recognize and capitalize on sales opportunities
- develop comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations and policies
- maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations
- attend and conduct meetings and training
- maintain professional relationships to achieve marketing initiatives
- travel as required
- act on behalf of the General Manager in absence
- perform other duties as requested
