Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of hotel sales leadership experience
  • Knowledge of travel industry and market trends
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and mentor a sales team
  • Experience with sales forecasting and contract management

  • Proficient in sales presentation and negotiation

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of hotel sales leadership experience
  • Expertise in booking transient and group sales highly preferred
  • Experience with Marriott hotel sales highly preferred
  • Knowledge of travel industry, current market trends, and economic factors
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and implement sales strategies
  • Proficient in sales forecasting and reporting
  • Skilled in client relationship management

Job Duties

  • Provide oversight to the sales team and develop business from group segments to ensure successful operations
  • Direct solicitation efforts of sales staff including managing rates, dates, and space commitments for group room sales and catering functions
  • Coordinate with Director of Revenue Strategy to ensure proposals and contracts meet hotel expectations for booking patterns and rates
  • Forecast group room nights and revenue weekly and maintain accurate systems updates and need dates
  • Interview, hire, train, and evaluate sales staff, recommend performance improvements and disciplinary actions as necessary
  • Prepare and analyze reports including budgets, forecasts, booking reports, and sales meeting notes
  • Develop and conduct persuasive sales presentations and promote Crescent programs
  • Entertain and meet with clients including travel as required
  • Manage citywide room block segmentation
  • Review and approve contracts related to sales
  • Communicate clearly with staff both verbally and in writing
  • Prepare and execute computerized annual sales and marketing plans
  • Organize and attend sales department meetings
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
