Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, marketing, or a related field
  • Proven experience in hotel sales and marketing
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems, sales software and marketing analytics tools
  • Knowledge of the local and regional hospitality market

Job Duties

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan that targets various market segments and accounts for group, corporate, and leisure business
  • Lead the sales team in identifying new business opportunities, maintaining existing client relationships, and achieving revenue targets
  • Manage the hotel’s online presence, including the website, social media channels, and online travel agencies
  • Analyze market trends and guest feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
  • Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and provide regular reports to the company
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination for group events, meetings, and conventions
  • Work closely with revenue management teams to optimize pricing strategies and maximize revenue per available room (RevPAR)
  • Implement effective yield management practices to balance occupancy and rates
  • Monitor and analyze competitive set pricing and adjust strategies as needed
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key clients, industry partners, and stakeholders
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and stay updated on industry trends
  • Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget, allocating resources effectively
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies
  • Make data-driven decisions to improve ROI on marketing initiatives
  • Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales and marketing team
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations to team members
  • Foster a collaborative and motivated work environment that encourages creativity and innovation
