Job Requirements

  • Four year college degree or equivalent education
  • five years hotel sales experience
  • proven track record of success in achieving revenue objectives
  • proven ability to recruit, motivate and train sales team
  • excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • flexibility for frequent local and periodic domestic/international travel
  • willingness to work forty to fifty hours per week

Job Duties

  • Directs the overall solicitation efforts of the sales, catering and revenue management teams
  • manages overall department human resource efforts including recruitment, hiring, training, motivation and retention
  • conducts regular performance and salary reviews
  • coaches, counsels, disciplines and develops individuals
  • implements company and brand programs consistent with established policies and procedures
  • prepares, analyzes and reviews forecasts, business plans, statements and reports
  • develops, recommends, implements and manages the department’s annual budget and business plans
  • develops and enhances relationships with internal and external customers, industry and community organizations, peers, professional associations and media
  • surveys, reviews and analyzes competition, market trends, customer needs and comments
  • performs special projects and other tasks as assigned
  • participates in task force and committees as required
