Job Requirements
- Four year college degree or equivalent education
- five years hotel sales experience
- proven track record of success in achieving revenue objectives
- proven ability to recruit, motivate and train sales team
- excellent written and spoken communication skills
- ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- flexibility for frequent local and periodic domestic/international travel
- willingness to work forty to fifty hours per week

Job Duties
- Directs the overall solicitation efforts of the sales, catering and revenue management teams
- manages overall department human resource efforts including recruitment, hiring, training, motivation and retention
- conducts regular performance and salary reviews
- coaches, counsels, disciplines and develops individuals
- implements company and brand programs consistent with established policies and procedures
- prepares, analyzes and reviews forecasts, business plans, statements and reports
- develops, recommends, implements and manages the department’s annual budget and business plans
- develops and enhances relationships with internal and external customers, industry and community organizations, peers, professional associations and media
- surveys, reviews and analyzes competition, market trends, customer needs and comments
- performs special projects and other tasks as assigned
- participates in task force and committees as required
