Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Prior director of sales experience
- Prior supervisory experience in hotel sales or related fields
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
- Experience with brand PMS, Delphi FDC, or similar applications
- Willingness to travel up to 75%
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to run off-property errands with minimal notice
Job Qualifications
- Prior Director of Sales experience
- Prior supervisory experience in hotel sales or related fields
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
- Experienced with brand PMS, Delphi FDC, or similar applications
- Minimum high school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Associate degree and five years of progressive experience in hotels or related fields
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major preferred
Job Duties
- Exercise discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance
- Actively participate in business planning and preparation with emphasis on driving the hotel's revenue objectives
- Prepare, develop, and execute the hotel’s budget, sales and marketing team goals, and incentive program
- Develop an effective marketing plan with clear objectives and sales goals for each business segment toward the achievement of budget revenue targets
- Ensure all brand standards and values are maintained at all times
- Direct and approve travel plans of the sales and marketing team to maximize coverage and revenue potential
- Lead weekly and monthly forecasting meetings while collaborating closely with the revenue management team to develop strategies to meet goals and targets
- Utilize company-wide tools, systems, and applications consistently
- Apply knowledge of revenue management and channel/distribution management tools to aid decision-making
- Establish and review marketing and sales budgets and allocated expenditures to ensure effective use of funds
- Regularly conduct and review business performance and productivity with the team
- Optimize business opportunities via all available channels and distribution avenues
- Drive sales and marketing initiatives and activities to optimize synergy among sister hotels through cross-selling
- Provide feedback through marketing intelligence to guide short- and long-term business decisions
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with all Division Heads as an active senior management team member
- Recruit, select, train, and motivate the sales and marketing team to realize their potential and develop individuals for advancement
- Recommend capital improvements to enhance company assets and brand loyalty
