Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
- Minimum of five years’ experience in hotel management with progressive responsibility
- Strong leadership and team supervision skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage budgets and financial forecasting
- Experience in handling guest relations and conflict resolution
- Knowledge of hotel operations and quality standards
- Skilled in training and staff development
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and during busy periods
Job Duties
- Provide guidance and leadership to the Rooms Division ensuring compliance with hotel policies and quality guest service
- Implement and manage the hotel’s daily quality process including goal communication and service recovery
- Interview, hire, train, recommend evaluations, resolve problems, provide communication and recommend discipline
- Conduct required new hire orientations, training and tracking in line with internal audits
- Communicate clearly to staff verbally and in writing
- Assign and instruct Rooms Division Department Managers, monitor hotel occupancy and make staffing adjustments
- Handle guest complaints effectively, prepare correspondence, and resolve problems calmly
- Supervise budgeting, forecasting, training, motivating and staffing of Rooms Division including Telecommunications, Housekeeping, Front Office, and Guest Services
- Prepare expense forecasts and monitor Security logs
- Collaborate with General Manager on policies and day-to-day operations
- Plan, organize and participate in various hotel meetings
- Comply with attendance and availability requirements
