Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in hotel management
- minimum of three years experience as a director in front office and housekeeping operations
- proven managerial and leadership skills
- strong problem-solving and communication skills
- experience with hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office
- ability to handle guest complaints calmly and effectively
- bilingual English and Spanish preferred
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- capability to walk, stand, sit, bend, and reach as required
- willingness to work varied shifts including nights and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or related work experience in front office and housekeeping management
- minimum of three years of director-level experience in hotel operations
- proven managerial skills including decision-making, negotiation, and project coordination
- strong customer service orientation
- confident leadership and conflict-resolution abilities
- follow-up and follow-through competence
- experience with hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- bilingual English and Spanish highly preferred
- prior Hilton and full-service hotel experience highly preferred
Job Duties
- Implement and manage front office operations including front desk, housekeeping, guest services, and night audit
- process goal communication, staff improvement, and compliance with hotel standards
- field guest complaints, investigate thoroughly, and negotiate effective solutions
- supervise budgeting, forecasting, training, motivating, and staffing of rooms and housekeeping departments
- prepare and review department expenses, monitor security and manager on duty logs, and coordinate policy enforcement
- work closely with general manager to establish day-to-day operational policies ensuring profitability and consistency
- plan, organize, and participate in various hotel meetings such as staff, front office, and executive committee meetings
- ensure sanitation and cleanliness adhering to Hilton Clean Stay, OSHA, and CDC requirements
- handle guest concerns promptly and maintain accuracy in guest interaction logs
- ensure compliance with accounting procedures and conduct timely inventories
- conduct one-on-one meetings with direct reports to support development
- maintain open communication channels across all organizational levels
- aid in establishing positive relationships with hotel corporation and property owners
- ensure required licenses, permits, contracts, and reports are in proper order
- survey hotel property daily for needed improvements
- proactively identify and develop talent, manage hiring processes, and support training and disciplinary procedures
- maintain team member recognition programs and foster team collaboration
- manage safety and security operations
