Job Requirements

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 4 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area
  • or 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 2 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area
  • ability to work full time on site at Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel
  • strong leadership and management skills
  • effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • excellent communication skills
  • willingness to engage with guests and staff regularly

Job Qualifications

  • 2-year degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 4 years experience in relevant hospitality roles
  • or 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 2 years experience in relevant hospitality roles
  • proven leadership experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing, or management operations
  • strong strategic planning and operational management skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • ability to analyze financial reports and manage budgets
  • experience coaching and developing team members
  • knowledge of brand standards and guest satisfaction metrics
  • commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace

Job Duties

  • develop and implement departmental strategies aligned with brand service standards
  • manage Front Office, Recreation/Health Club, and Housekeeping departments
  • monitor and analyze service issues and identify trends
  • develop and execute operational strategies aligned with brand business goals
  • oversee rooms operations sales performance against budget
  • review financial statements and wage reports to control expenses
  • coach and support operations teams to manage occupancy, rates, and wages
  • champion brand service vision and ensure alignment in leadership teams
  • communicate departmental goals and expectations clearly
  • review guest feedback and take corrective action
  • respond to guest complaints and problems
  • maintain visibility and engagement with guests
  • create an atmosphere that exceeds guest expectations
  • facilitate creative solutions to improve guest satisfaction
  • ensure fair and equitable treatment of associates
  • promote ongoing communication and team meetings
  • foster associate commitment to excellent service
  • incorporate guest satisfaction in staff meetings
  • set goals and conduct performance reviews for direct reports
  • solicit and address associate feedback
  • administer policies and disciplinary procedures consistently
