Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in the revenue management field
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • In-depth knowledge of industry reports such as STR, Agency 360, Demand 360, OTA Insights
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work quickly in a high-pressure and high stress environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Exceptional with details and follow up
  • Flexible and able to work long hours when required

Job Duties

  • Establish hotel pricing levels in all segments and all room types
  • Responsible for the daily room inventory management process and daily pricing process
  • Monitor competitor rates, positioning, strategies and data
  • Maintain understanding of the dynamics of the local market and demand generators and present appropriate action plans to management
  • Monitor and communicate fluctuations in occupancy to operational departments to effectively manage staffing requirements and increase efficiency
  • Analyze local events and project the effects on revenue opportunities
  • Create accurate operational and financial room revenue forecasts using macro and microeconomic variables
  • Perform unconstrained demand analysis to determine the optimal business mix
  • Responsible for all short and long term forecasts including weekly, 30 60 90 day, in month, and full year forecasts
  • Oversee evaluation process for contracted business opportunities presented through the Sales department ensuring high speed response and profit maximization
  • Maintain management of software programs including CRS, RMS, PMS and Sales & Catering systems
  • Monitor RevPAR index on STR reports and provide critical weekly and monthly performance analysis
  • Prepare annual Rooms revenue budget
  • Chair weekly Revenue Strategy meetings to formulate and disseminate strategies and tactics
  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly presentations to ownership
  • Ensure all distribution channels have correct content and pricing
  • Develop and maintain relationships with OTA market managers and other Directors of Revenue
  • Actively develop and train subordinates with opportunities for growth and industry event participation
  • Manage digital marketing efforts such as pay per click campaigns, email blasts, and GDS advertising
  • Establish and communicate sales strategies for day, week, month and rolling 12 months
  • Communicate strategy changes and update sales team calendars
  • Analyze previous night successes including sellout status and overselling decisions
  • Conduct test calls to Central Reservation Office to ensure rate quoting accuracy
  • Manage group cut off dates and verify block pickup versus actuals
  • Ensure accuracy of daily Flash Report comparing actual versus potential performance
  • Complete month end reports with detailed analysis and action plans
  • Review Agency 360 reports for booking trends and competition rates
  • Review volume account production with sales team
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests
  • Multitask and prioritize departmental functions
  • Attend required meetings and trainings
  • Maintain regular attendance and comply with hotel standards
  • Maintain personal appearance and grooming standards
  • Encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
  • Identify problems and implement solutions
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
