Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- minimum 5 years of experience in food and beverage or restaurant management
- Food Service Sanitation certification
- alcohol service permit if required
- ability to walk, stand and bend continuously
- ability to move up to 600 lbs with wheeled assistance
- ability to lift up to 75 lbs and lighter objects overhead
- ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
- ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations
- ability to use computer systems to input and access information
- maintain neat and well-groomed appearance
Job Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of restaurant operations including foods, beverages, supervision, service techniques and guest interaction
- considerable skill in math and algebraic equations using percentages
- ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English with tact and diplomacy
- ability to work under pressure and manage stressful situations
- proficiency in computer systems for data input and retrieval
- high school graduate or equivalent
- preferred four-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management
- minimum 5 years of food and beverage/restaurant management experience
- Food Service Sanitation certification
- alcohol service permit if required by state
- CPR certification preferred
- neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
Job Duties
- Monitor service standards to ensure the highest levels of service are achieved
- engage with guests
- ensure efficiencies of service while on the service floor
- plan, direct, assign and delegate administrative and operational responsibilities for restaurants and bars
- complete all essential functions as the closing PM leader
- maximize food and beverage department profitability
- implement controls of food, beverage, and labor costs
- monitor budget to achieve revenue and labor targets
- hire, train, supervise, develop, discipline, counsel and evaluate restaurant managers and staff
- review and evaluate customer satisfaction
- recommend and implement marketing and operational policies
- investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints
- ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- develop and implement schedules for restaurants and bars
- participate in annual budget development
- develop short and long term financial plans
- conduct weekly and monthly financial forecasting and labor reviews
- attend mandatory meetings
- participate in Manager on Duty coverage
- engage in community public relations
- use software programs such as Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and Outlook
- ensure health requirements compliance
- keep work area clean and organized
- complete other duties assigned by supervisor
- demonstrate positive leadership
- develop and market new menus
- oversee restaurant private party events
