Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 5 years food and beverage or restaurant management experience
  • food service sanitation certification
  • alcohol service permit if state required
  • ability to communicate effectively in English orally and in writing
  • ability to work under pressure and manage stressful situations
  • ability to perform physical tasks including walking, standing, bending continuously, lifting up to 75 lbs and moving up to 600 lbs with assistance
  • ability to operate computer software programs
  • willingness to work evenings and weekends
  • maintain clean and well-groomed appearance

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • preferred four-year college degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management
  • at least 5 years of food and beverage or restaurant management experience
  • food service sanitation certification
  • alcohol service permit if required by state law
  • CPR certification preferred
  • thorough knowledge of restaurant operations including food and beverage, supervision, service techniques, and guest interaction
  • considerable skill in math and algebraic equations using percentages
  • ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and written
  • ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations
  • ability to access and input information using moderately complex computer systems

Job Duties

  • Monitor service standards to ensure highest service levels are achieved
  • engage with guests and ensure service efficiencies while spending time on the service floor
  • plan, direct, assign, and delegate responsibility and authority for all functions of administration and planning of restaurants and bars to meet daily operational needs
  • ensure all essential functions are completed at the end of each shift as the closing PM leader
  • maximize food and beverage department profitability by implementing effective controls for food, beverage, and labor costs
  • hire, train, supervise, develop, discipline, counsel, and evaluate restaurant managers, supervisors, and line employees according to company policies
  • regularly review and evaluate customer satisfaction and recommend marketing or operational changes
  • investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints
  • ensure compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal regulations
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work and service areas
  • develop and implement operating schedules to achieve profitable results
  • participate in budget development, forecasting, weekly labor review, and monthly financial reviews
  • attend mandatory meetings and participate in Manager on Duty coverage
  • engage in community public relations efforts
  • utilize software programs such as Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • ensure all health regulations are met
  • maintain organized work areas
  • complete other duties as assigned
  • demonstrate positive leadership that inspires team members
  • develop and market new and creative menus
  • oversee private party events
