Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related professional area
- OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- 4 years experience in related professional area
- strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- thorough knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
- ability to manage budgets and financial resources
- excellent customer service orientation
- familiarity with liquor laws and cash control procedures
- effective communication skills
- capacity to manage and mentor employees

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 6 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related field
- OR 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, or Business Administration with 4 years relevant experience
- knowledge of customer and personal service principles
- understanding of economics and accounting principles including P&L statements and budgeting
- analytical and critical thinking skills
- expertise in management of financial and material resources
- business and management principles knowledge including strategic planning and leadership
- applied business knowledge for market and enterprise diagnostics
- knowledge of food production, presentation, and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Manage all restaurant operations and staff daily
- direct and collaborate with food and beverage/culinary management team
- strive to improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize financial performance
- estimate consumption to anticipate purchasing needs
- facilitate pre-meal briefings with chefs and restaurant managers
- maintain service and sanitation standards
- order and purchase equipment and supplies
- oversee booking and service of restaurant parties, special events, and hospitality suites
- manage department's controllable expenses to achieve budget goals
- set challenging, realistic, and obtainable operational goals
- lead and encourage team using interpersonal and communication skills
- build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
- serve as a role model demonstrating appropriate behaviors
- identify developmental needs and coach staff
- ensure compliance with food and beverage policies and liquor laws
- provide exceptional customer service and respond effectively to guest complaints
- administer performance appraisals and communicate expectations effectively
- recruit and hire qualified employees
- update executives and peers with relevant information timely
