Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related field
  • OR 2-year accredited degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in relevant food and beverage or event management roles
  • Strong knowledge of customer service principles
  • Understanding of economics and accounting related to restaurant operations
  • Proven ability in analytical and critical thinking
  • Experience in financial resource management
  • Sound knowledge of food production and presentation techniques
  • Effective management and leadership capabilities
  • Ability to maintain compliance with food handling, sanitation standards, and liquor laws

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 6 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or event management
  • OR 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field with 4 years of experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
  • Economics and accounting principles including P&L and budgeting
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience managing financial resources
  • Knowledge of business and management principles including strategic planning and resource allocation
  • Understanding of market dynamics and business strategy
  • Knowledge of food production, presentation, and sanitation standards
  • Experience managing material resources and equipment
  • Effective interpersonal and leadership skills

Job Duties

  • Manage all restaurant operations and staff daily
  • Direct food and beverage/culinary management team to execute restaurant operations
  • Strive to improve guest and employee satisfaction
  • Maximize financial performance for area of responsibility
  • Estimate food, liquor, wine, and other beverage consumption
  • Facilitate pre-meal briefings with Chef and Restaurant Managers
  • Maintain service and sanitation standards
  • Order and purchase equipment and supplies
  • Oversee booking and manage service of restaurant parties, special events, and room service hospitality suites
  • Manage department's controllable expenses to achieve budget goals
  • Guide and mentor food and beverage team
  • Ensure compliance with food and liquor laws
  • Establish customer service guidelines and strive to improve service
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback and handle complaints
  • Conduct human resource activities including hiring, training, and performance appraisals
  • Communicate effectively with executives, peers, and subordinates
  • Analyze information and solve problems
  • Serve as guest service role model and foster positive guest relations
