Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • six years experience in food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related professional area
  • OR two-year degree from accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • four years experience in food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related professional area
  • ability to manage a team effectively
  • knowledge of HACCP, OSHA, and regional Alcoholic Beverage Commission guidelines
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • capability to handle budget administration and cost control
  • proficiency in inventory management
  • commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
  • ability to conduct employee training and performance appraisals

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with six years of relevant experience
  • OR two-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with four years of relevant experience
  • strong knowledge of food and beverage trends
  • excellent leadership and communication skills
  • experience in budget administration and profit and loss accountability
  • proficiency in inventory control and cost management
  • familiarity with HACCP, OSHA, and Alcoholic Beverage Commission regulations
  • proven ability to develop and execute strategic operational plans
  • customer service focused with skills in coaching and employee empowerment

Job Duties

  • Leads and initiates food and beverage outlet operations including marketing and promotions
  • assists with menu and recipe development and food preparation
  • develops beverage programs within company guidelines
  • maintains policies and procedures within the outlet
  • develops and executes strategic plans including budgets and cost control
  • conducts inventory and establishes inventory control methods
  • verifies maintenance and operation of outlet and equipment
  • manages performance of outlet service and management staff
  • ensures compliance with HACCP, OSHA, and Alcoholic Beverage Commission guidelines
  • facilitates communication within food and beverage and with support departments
  • provides exceptional customer service and enhances guest experience
  • recruits, selects, and trains employees
  • appraises employee performance and recommends promotions
  • monitors attendance and maintains safety and security
  • conducts annual performance appraisals
