Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 6 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related area
- OR 2-year degree in relevant field
- Minimum 4 years relevant experience
- Proven leadership skills
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of sanitation and food handling standards
- Ability to manage budgets and control costs
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Ability to resolve guest complaints effectively
- Experience in employee training and performance management
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 6 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related professional area
- OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 4 years experience
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience in budgeting and financial management
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
- Ability to handle guest relations and deliver outstanding customer service
Job Duties
- Estimate food, liquor, wine, and other beverage consumption to anticipate purchase amounts
- Maintain service and sanitation standards in restaurant, bar/lounge, and room service areas
- Order and purchase equipment and supplies
- Establish challenging, realistic, and obtainable goals to guide operations and performance
- Develop business goals and create appropriate development plans
- Identify and address financial opportunities and manage department budget to achieve goals
- Lead, influence, and encourage the food and beverage team with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Coach and mentor team members to improve skills and performance
- Act as a guest service role model and ensure excellent customer service
- Ensure compliance with all food and beverage policies, standards, and sanitation requirements
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve guest complaints effectively
- Manage human resource activities including performance appraisal and employee training
- Communicate relevant information to executives, peers, and subordinates
- Analyze information to solve problems and improve quality and presentation of products
