Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 6 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related area
  • OR 2-year degree in relevant field
  • Minimum 4 years relevant experience
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of sanitation and food handling standards
  • Ability to manage budgets and control costs
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Ability to resolve guest complaints effectively
  • Experience in employee training and performance management

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 6 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 4 years experience
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience in budgeting and financial management
  • Knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
  • Ability to handle guest relations and deliver outstanding customer service

Job Duties

  • Estimate food, liquor, wine, and other beverage consumption to anticipate purchase amounts
  • Maintain service and sanitation standards in restaurant, bar/lounge, and room service areas
  • Order and purchase equipment and supplies
  • Establish challenging, realistic, and obtainable goals to guide operations and performance
  • Develop business goals and create appropriate development plans
  • Identify and address financial opportunities and manage department budget to achieve goals
  • Lead, influence, and encourage the food and beverage team with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Coach and mentor team members to improve skills and performance
  • Act as a guest service role model and ensure excellent customer service
  • Ensure compliance with all food and beverage policies, standards, and sanitation requirements
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve guest complaints effectively
  • Manage human resource activities including performance appraisal and employee training
  • Communicate relevant information to executives, peers, and subordinates
  • Analyze information to solve problems and improve quality and presentation of products
