Job Requirements

  • Must be licensed as OTR, PT, SLP, OTA, or PTA
  • Experience managing a rehabilitation program
  • Knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage productivity standards and operational goals
  • Experience in staff recruitment and training
  • Ability to review and ensure accuracy of billing and medical documentation
  • Consistent work attendance and professional demeanor

Job Qualifications

  • Licensed as OTR, PT, SLP, OTA, or PTA

  • Strong knowledge of Medicare and reimbursement regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to evaluate and counsel team members

  • Experience with performance improvement and marketing activities

Job Duties

  • Manage the rehabilitation program for the facility or designated facilities
  • Manage rehab staffing levels and patient care levels to meet clinical and operational needs
  • Ensure ongoing rollout of new policies and procedures to departmental staff
  • Participate in facility performance improvement program
  • Participate in facility marketing activities as indicated
  • Display appropriate written and verbal communication skills and respond in a timely manner
  • Ensure ongoing communication with patients, clients and team members to keep them informed of key issues and program development opportunities
  • Manage productivity standards to meet clinical and operational goals
  • Evaluate and provide counseling to team members
  • Review medical records assuring federal and state requirements and conditions of participation for Medicare, Medicaid and other payment models are met
  • Implement appropriate facility procedures to meet standards
  • Deliver direct patient care in the appropriate discipline
  • Facilitate appropriate utilization and appearance of rehabilitation space
  • Monitor preventative maintenance program for equipment
  • Ensure complete orientation and ongoing training of rehab staff
  • Ensure accuracy and reconciliation of billing data
  • Review and monitor revenue and expenses and initiate action plans
  • Participate in recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new staff
  • Review documentation practices
  • Ensure departmental functions build team rapport and effectiveness
