Job Requirements
- Hotel or hospitality degree at bachelors level or unrelated degree with relevant hospitality experience
- minimum 4 years experience in banquet, catering, convention, or food and beverage operations
- working knowledge of computer systems
- personal appearance and grooming appropriate for a high-profile job
- ability to exert well-paced mobility during multiple simultaneous functions
- ability to lift 50 pounds
- ability to sit, stand, stoop, or bend for at least 8 hours
Job Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary workplace language
- working knowledge of food and beverage sales and hotel operations
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- strong supervisory and leadership skills
- ability to prepare and analyze data and figures generated by computer
- moderate computer skills
Job Duties
- Manage and supervise a team of 2 event managers
- sell group dining and special events in restaurants and bars
- assist restaurant leadership in maintaining social and corporate accounts
- follow through with inquiries and secure business via proposals and agreements
- check available event space and maximize utilization
- meet with clients to gather event details and oversee functions
- coordinate with internal departments and external clients to ensure smooth event operations
