Job Requirements

  • Hotel or hospitality degree at bachelors level or unrelated degree with relevant hospitality experience
  • minimum 4 years experience in banquet, catering, convention, or food and beverage operations
  • working knowledge of computer systems
  • personal appearance and grooming appropriate for a high-profile job
  • ability to exert well-paced mobility during multiple simultaneous functions
  • ability to lift 50 pounds
  • ability to sit, stand, stoop, or bend for at least 8 hours

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary workplace language
  • working knowledge of food and beverage sales and hotel operations
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • ability to prepare and analyze data and figures generated by computer
  • moderate computer skills

Job Duties

  • Manage and supervise a team of 2 event managers
  • sell group dining and special events in restaurants and bars
  • assist restaurant leadership in maintaining social and corporate accounts
  • follow through with inquiries and secure business via proposals and agreements
  • check available event space and maximize utilization
  • meet with clients to gather event details and oversee functions
  • coordinate with internal departments and external clients to ensure smooth event operations
