Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- minimum of 5-7 years in food and beverage industry
- experience in volume feeding, ala carte, fine dining, catering, purchasing, and storage
- strong communication skills
- professional appearance
- proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- current Food Handler's card and alcohol permit if applicable
- ability to schedule employees effectively
- excellent organizational skills
- knowledge of food preparation and sanitary standards
- supervisory experience

Job Qualifications
- MA or MS
- BA or BS with business-related major preferred
- minimum of 5-7 years experience in food and beverage industry
- experience in volume feeding, ala carte, fine dining, catering, purchasing and storage
- effective communication skills at all staff levels
- proven track record of meeting projected costs
- professional appearance and presentation
- proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- current Food Handler's card and alcohol service permit if required
- knowledge of employee scheduling in hospitality
- excellent organizational and communication skills
- skilled in technical and sanitary food preparation
- technical proficiency in food preparation methods
- ability to supervise kitchen staff

Job Duties
- Coordinate and supervise the work of kitchen staff to create a positive work environment
- display culinary preparation skills and teach proper preparation and food presentation
- manage food and labor costs through scheduling and purchasing
- conduct regular cleanliness and maintenance inspections
- oversee monthly inventory management
- provide high quality, fresh food products timely for guests
- assist Executive Chef in food preparation, including hot and cold items
- participate as a team player with responsibility for preparation, service and product delivery
- coordinate storage, maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment
- maintain sanitation, health and safety standards and training
- observe and test foods for proper cooking
- portion, arrange and garnish food plates for guests
- consult with managers on menu planning and food consumption estimates
- maintain visible presence on kitchen floor to ensure quality, efficiency and operation management
