Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- minimum 5 years experience in hotel food and beverage operations
- minimum 5 years experience with food and alcoholic beverages
- previous experience in 4-diamond or convention resort preferred
- previous leadership experience managing multiple outlets preferred
- knowledge of P&L, budgets, and financials preferred
- proficiency with Microsoft Office, HMS, TOAST
- ability to work varying schedules
- knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws
- strong problem-solving skills
- ability to communicate effectively
- able to lift up to 30 lbs regularly
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- maintain neat and professional appearance
- able to work in extreme temperatures
- valid work authorization
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5+ years experience with hotel food and beverage operations
- 5+ years experience in food and alcoholic beverage management
- previous experience in 4-diamond or convention resort preferred
- previous leadership experience over multiple outlets preferred
- knowledge and experience with P&L, budgets, and financials preferred
- strong communication skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Office, HMS, TOAST and financial software
- working knowledge of hospitality laws and regulations
- proven ability to lead teams and manage guest satisfaction
Job Duties
- Circulate on the outlet floor, continually checking with guests and staff to ensure satisfaction
- handle guests' complaints and thank guests upon departure
- monitor and supervise dining room set up and maintenance
- control flow of room by seating guests in a rotation
- assign and supervise all opening and closing side duties
- assist with scheduling attendants and control of greeters, servers, and bus attendants
- conduct daily pre-meal meetings and ongoing employee training
- recognize outstanding performance and handle discipline
- manage, train and develop staff including managers and hourly employees
- manage budgeting, financial management, inventory control, staff management, compliance, marketing, sales, and data analysis
- lay out goals and develop strategies to accomplish said goals
- forecast staffing and costs and oversee work schedules
- conduct initial and continual training for food and beverage employees
- manage standards, performance, employees' conduct, dress code, appearance and sanitation
- manage weekly payroll
- collaborate with Chef and Sous-Chefs to ensure quality and pricing
- maintain equipment
- manage wine stock and beverage cost
- manage human resources including interviewing, evaluating, discipline, and termination
- handle all guest complaints related to food and beverage
- communicate efficiently with clarity, direction and assertiveness while listening and collaborating
