Job Requirements

  • Four year college degree or equivalent related experience required
  • Three years of housekeeping management experience at a healthcare account required
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required
  • High customer service and quality attitude required
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals
  • Public speaking skills required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong stress management, administrative and organizational skills required

Job Duties

  • Direct and oversee operational needs of the Housekeeping Department
  • Coordinate tasks of Assistant Directors and Operations Managers
  • Serve as a liaison between administration and hospital departments
  • Manage department's financial data and statistics
  • Monitor unit expenditures
  • Develop and recommend department operating budget
  • Ensure department operates within budget
  • Coordinate housekeeping activities with other departments
  • Communicate actively with administration and other hospital departments
  • Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and supervise departmental functions and activities
  • Establish work standards and work flow
  • Implement policies and procedures for departmental operations
  • Encourage and mentor staff creativity and innovation
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies
  • Proactive in achievement of facility goals and objectives
  • Demonstrate quality leadership in meeting performance plans
  • Administer Total Quality Management processes
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions for department staff
  • Encourage staff participation in education programs
