Job Requirements

  • At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
  • Rooms experience
  • Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly
  • Maintain warm and friendly demeanor at all times
  • Effective communication verbally and in writing
  • Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings
  • Maintain regular attendance per scheduling needs
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • Comply with Highgate Hotel standards and regulations
  • Maximize productivity and assist in problem solving
  • Effective in handling problems proactively
  • Ability to understand and evaluate complex information

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Focus on front office operation, including training, scheduling, daily duties
  • Tour the operating departments daily - making adjustments as needed via department heads
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings, including weekly training sessions and sales and operations reviews
  • Meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs timely
  • Hold monthly financial reviews with all department managers, MODs, and supervisors
  • Ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity levels and Highgate Hotel accounting procedures
  • Develop managers for future advancement through training and corporate programs
