Job Requirements

  • minimum of 10 years' experience in operations leadership in the restaurant industry
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and events
  • strong leadership and team building capabilities
  • demonstrated business acumen in operations and P&L management
  • experience working in unionized settings
  • knowledge of California labor laws
  • excellent client relationship management skills
  • willingness to travel frequently between locations
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of 10 years' experience as a director of operations or similar role in a large multi-location restaurant company
  • catering experience preferred but not required
  • college degree in hospitality or business management preferred
  • strong financial expertise in developing and managing P&L statements
  • knowledge of union environments and California labor laws
  • excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite
  • willingness to commute regularly within the California footprint

Job Duties

  • attract, develop, and retain a high performing team
  • oversee day-to-day operations with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • manage client relationships responsively while being mindful to ROI
  • review financial statements and performance data to measure productivity and identify cost reduction opportunities
  • provide solutions to operational issues affecting sales and profit while delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • establish and enforce standard operating procedures for front of house staff
  • ensure back of house procedures comply with food quality and safety standards
  • maintain safety and security of employees, customers, and company assets
  • lead by example demonstrating expected leadership qualities
  • direct operational strategy implementation for timely task management
  • coordinate communication and alignment across multiple businesses
  • demonstrate thought leadership and develop compelling business cases that add value to the organization
