Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • five years of operations management experience
  • strong leadership skills
  • budget management experience
  • excellent communication skills
  • knowledge of facility operations and maintenance
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • valid driver's license
  • ability to pass background check
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management software

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality management, or a related field preferred
  • minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in operations management, preferably in event or facilities management
  • strong leadership and organizational skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • proven budget management and financial reporting expertise
  • knowledge of facility maintenance and safety standards
  • ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • experience in staff training, development, and performance evaluation
  • proficiency in relevant software applications

  • ability to build positive client relationships

Job Duties

  • Track and manage scheduled repairs, preventive maintenance, and vendor coordination
  • act as representative for the buildings during client site visits
  • develop objectives and implement short-term plans for efficient facility operation, maintenance, and repairs
  • prepare and maintain the annual budget for the National Bowling Stadium and Reno Event Center
  • establish and maintain accounting records, profit and loss statements, and reports for management analysis
  • control budget expenditures within authorized limits
  • ensure proper setup and staffing of scheduled events
  • inspect facilities before, during, and after events and issue work orders for deficiencies
  • generate monthly performance reports detailing departmental activities for executive review
  • ensure security services maintain order, protect life and property, and enforce organizational policies
  • document and update security service needs and communicate plans with stakeholders
  • maintain a positive and professional image with clients
  • support the sales process and ensure successful event management
  • work closely with clients to meet event requests and contractual obligations
  • investigate and resolve operational problems and complaints
  • develop, train, and evaluate staff performance
  • provide feedback to maintain high-performance standards
  • keep Executive Director informed on issues requiring input
  • foster positive interpersonal relations and teamwork
  • emphasize safety in all operations according to RSCVA safety programs
  • maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safe work practices
  • establish effective working relationships
  • observe all RSCVA policies
  • perform other duties as assigned
