Job Requirements

  • Current, valid driver’s license
  • Access to a working telephone for business contact
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to maneuver around facilities, walk or stand up to 8-10 hours daily
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
  • Skill in organizing workflow and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret business and technical documents
  • Ability to write reports, correspondence and procedure manuals
  • Strong mathematical skills including calculations of discounts, interest and percentages.

Job Qualifications

  • Four-year degree in operations management, hospitality or business-related field preferred
  • Minimum of three years experience in operations, hospitality, event management or related field
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Ability to work efficiently under irregular and extended hours
  • Knowledge of safety standards and OSHA requirements
  • Proficient in budgeting and financial management
  • Ability to develop and implement emergency preparedness plans
  • Experience in facility maintenance oversight
  • Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.

Job Duties

  • Oversee hiring, training, and scheduling of operational services staff
  • Ensure all events are properly staffed and executed professionally
  • Manage maintenance of facilities including vendor contracts and preventive maintenance
  • Maintain communication with tenants and the public for positive image
  • Coordinate with Event Services to ensure professional event execution
  • Supervise personnel including setup, maintenance, housekeeping, and contract labor
  • Administer annual budget, financial procedures, and cost control
  • Maintain logs, records, inventory and prepare reports
  • Establish and monitor safety standards, OSHA compliance and training programs
  • Develop and implement Emergency Plan and serve as Manager on Duty
  • Attend internal and external meetings as facility representative
  • Check and approve payroll worksheets
  • Serve as Chair of Safety Committee
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Executive Director.
