Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from technical college with major in management or maintenance engineering
- minimum of 2 years experience supervising or managing in a similar facility
- supervisory experience required
- ability to work flexible and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- excellent organization skills
- ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- ability to effectively supervise staff
- professional presentation, appearance and work ethic
- knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
- ability to learn maintenance manager software
- ability to work with limited supervision and as a team member

Job Duties
- Directs, supervises, and schedules all aspects of operations including engineering, building and grounds, technical services, event services and ADA compliance, public safety, security, custodial services and parking
- coordinates operations activities with other departments and event contractors to ensure facility readiness and smooth event operations
- implements and updates facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- communicates directives clearly and timely to other departments
- ensures operations department receives pertinent information for effective facility and staffing use
- oversees maintenance of physical plant, systems, equipment, and vehicles
- assists in preparing annual operating budget and recommends capital budget for long-range repairs and improvements
- authorizes equipment and supply requisitions within budget
- provides yearly inventory of all equipment
- ensures compliance with laws, codes, ordinances, risk management, safety precautions, and emergency procedures
- develops training programs for employees on fire, life safety, emergency and OSHA procedures
- investigates, analyzes, and resolves operational problems and complaints
- conducts periodic staff meetings on procedures, problems, and policy changes
- negotiates with vendors, unions, contractors and service providers
- develops and implements preventive maintenance schedules, emergency procedures, safety and risk management policies in compliance with corporate and governmental regulations
- acts as liaison to public utility, environmental, and energy agencies
- coordinates and oversees special projects such as construction, remodeling, or expansion
- serves as manager on duty as required
