Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in horticulture or nursery production
- Experience with environmental controls and irrigation systems
- Ability to walk and inspect nursery areas regularly
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
- Flexible to adapt to changing priorities and challenges
- Bilingualism is a plus

Job Duties
- Daily involvement in labor allocation with production manager and division leads
- Involvement with environmental controls
- Conduct walk-throughs of nursery sections on a rotating schedule to monitor production notes and meet with production and inventory teams
- Collaborate with Crop Health Manager on crop health issues, treatments, control measures, and fertilizer use
- Lead production improvements focusing on cultural practices, efficiency, and reducing losses in high-loss varieties
- Work on irrigation system improvements, watering techniques, and training
- Assist in developing classifications by type for production grouping based on irrigation and cultural needs
- Participate in product pricing and present production costs
- Manage purchasing of pots and plastics inventory with Soils department
- Oversee label ordering process
- Engage in seasonal pumpkin planning
