Job Requirements
- Must be at least 25 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- 4-6 years maintenance experience
- 2-5 years supervisory experience
- Valid Colorado Driver's License with a clean record
- Ability to obtain CDL
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for 100 feet
- Ability to speak, read, and understand English
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Knowledge of cleaning and floor care supplies
- Ability to work safely with custodial, maintenance, and transportation chemicals, tools, and equipment
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to monitor and maintain fire and security systems
- Ability to take directions and work collaboratively
- Must adhere to district policies and strategic plan
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Technical certification or degree preferred
- Experience in maintenance (4-6 years)
- Supervisory experience (2-5 years)
- Valid Colorado Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Ability to obtain CDL
- Proficient in the use of district technology and maintenance equipment
- Strong communication skills with students, parents, and staff
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Knowledge of cleaning and floor care supplies
- Working knowledge of computers
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance
- Ability to safely perform physical labor
- Familiarity with fire and security system monitoring
Job Duties
- Oversee and direct facility operations, maintenance, transportation construction projects, and custodial services
- Coordinate with municipalities and utility companies regarding water, wastewater, electricity, and gas
- Manage the departmental budget
- Hire and evaluate custodial and maintenance personnel
- Ensure work quality standards are met by district and contracted employees
- Maintain an adequate inventory of tools and supplies
- Respond to alarm investigations and emergency maintenance as on-call
