Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of hotel management experience in a 4 diamond hotel/resort environment
  • Exceptional management skills with a proven track record in mentoring and leading a successful team
  • Ability to budget and forecast productivities and direct expenses
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with vendors, community and organizations
  • Excellent technical skills to include MS Office, PMS system Opera, Delphi and Oracle
  • College degree in hotel and restaurant management or equivalent
  • Flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Must be detail oriented, extremely organized and punctual

Job Duties

  • Work closely with Executive Committee members to ensure financial and service standards and employee relations goals are met
  • Participate in hiring, training, scheduling, reviewing, and disciplining staff with support of operations management team
  • Coordinate, supervise and direct all aspects of operation with support of department heads and assistant managers
  • Ensure guest service standards are met and developed for consistent excellence
  • Direct property operations in General Manager's absence
  • Maintain communication with Managing Director and other department/division heads
  • Recommend programs for staff motivation and development
  • Assist in developing annual budget and action plans including objectives
  • Review daily operating results and weekly forecasting and scheduling, taking corrective action if needed
  • Conduct daily review of Rooms Division operations with Department Heads
  • Attend hotel operational meetings, room's departmental meetings, and associate-related events
  • Review annual objectives composed by department heads and monitor progress
