Job Requirements

  • 2-year degree from accredited university in business administration, hotel and restaurant management, or related major with 4 years relevant experience
  • or 4-year bachelor's degree in business administration, hotel and restaurant management, or related major with 2 years relevant experience
  • experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing, management operations, or related area
  • excellent communication and leadership skills
  • ability to analyze performance data
  • capability to manage multiple departments and teams
  • proficiency in financial management
  • ability to foster a positive employee and guest environment

Job Duties

  • demonstrates and communicates key drivers of guest satisfaction for the brand’s target customer
  • analyzes service issues and identifies trends
  • makes and executes necessary decisions to move property toward achievement of goals
  • works with hotel management to develop operational strategy aligned with brand business strategy
  • monitors hotel operations sales performance against budget
  • reviews reports and financial statements to assess operations performance
  • coaches team to manage occupancy, wages, and controllable expenses
  • reviews wage progress reports and coaches direct reports on addressing wage issues
  • champions brand service vision and ensures alignment among hotel leadership
  • develops systems to help employees understand guest satisfaction results
  • communicates departmental goals clearly
  • reviews guest feedback with leadership and ensures corrective action
  • responds to and handles guest complaints
  • stays visible and interfaces regularly with customers
  • creates an atmosphere that meets or exceeds guest expectations in rooms and food and beverage areas
  • facilitates development of creative solutions to improve guest satisfaction
