Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, industrial engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of warehouse operations leadership in high volume food distribution environments with cold chain requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in operations and/or project management leadership
- Advanced experience with WMS systems and associated configuration
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage P&L responsibilities
- Union management experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience in food safety and regulatory compliance
- Strong background in budget management and process improvement.

Job Duties
- Oversee multishift warehouse operations with 40 plus employees across dry, refrigerated, and frozen storage zones in two facilities
- Lead, manage, and continuously improve all warehouse functions including unloading, receiving, storage, replenishment, picking, loading, shipping, scheduling, yard management, e-commerce, kitting, billing, and automation
- Implement, monitor, and meet key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance
- Lead hiring, training, and development of supervisors, leads, and hourly staff
- Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, transparency, and trust
- Develop training programs, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regularly evaluate adherence
- Establish and monitor performance metrics such as order accuracy, pick rates, and overtime hours to improve operational output
- Manage active performance of individuals and teams to drive accountability
- Support and oversee safety programs for all team members, equipment, and property
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations (FDA/USDA/HACCP), OSHA, and sanitation standards
- Ensure compliance with C-TPAT and US Customs Bonded requirements
- Ensure accurate inventory management and integrity
- Verify cycle counts and inventory audits are properly performed and meet internal standards
- Champion utilization and enhancement of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology solutions
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within WMS and related systems
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency
- Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to streamline warehouse operations
- Develop and manage warehouse operations budget including labor, equipment, and material costs
- Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective order management and problem resolution
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer needs and feedback
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company goals
- Participate in long-term planning and contribute to business development initiatives
- Oversee maintenance staff and repair of warehouse equipment and infrastructure including refrigeration and racking systems
- Ensure facility meets compliance, cleanliness, and safety standards related to government/regulatory requirements and third-party audits
- Implement and promote sustainable practices within warehouse operations
- Reduce waste and improve energy efficiency.
