Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5 years proven success in leading annual campaigns, securing grant funding and coordinating special events
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices

Job Duties

  • Provide visionary leadership and successful execution of all aspects of the YMCA's Annual Giving program in partnership with staff and board leadership
  • Recruit, train, inspire and retain a diverse network of volunteers to champion the Annual Giving campaign
  • Foster a culture of philanthropy by engaging staff at all levels as ambassadors, ensuring fundraising responsibilities are embraced as part of their role in advancing the mission
  • Ensure donor data with YMCA's CRM tools are maintained with highest levels of completeness and accuracy
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive donor stewardship strategy that strengthens relationships with individual, corporate, and foundation supporters
  • Partner with staff, volunteers, and branch leadership to provide consistent donor experiences across all touchpoints, fostering long-term loyalty and advocacy for the YMCA's mission
  • Lead and coordinate the Annual Paul Howry Memorial Golf Tournament in partnership with a volunteer planning committee, driving event strategy to ensure a sell-out field, year-over-year revenue growth, and expanded sponsorship support
  • Provide leadership and coordination to other special events that advance the mission of the YMCA
  • In collaboration with the VP of Financial Development, other VPs, Branch Directors and Program Directors, seek out and secure new grant funding for YMCA programs and services and oversee compliance and reporting
  • Build strong partnerships with community leaders, donors, and volunteers to advance the YMCA's mission
  • Engage volunteers to support programs throughout the YMCA association as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
