Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience coordinating activities for seniors in assisted living and memory care settings
  • valid Texas driver's license
  • clear driving history
  • ability to pass criminal background check
  • ability to pass pre-employment drug screen test
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • excellent communication skills
  • available to work evenings and weekends
  • compliant with TDADS qualifications

Job Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience coordinating activities for senior citizens in an assisted living and memory care community setting
  • valid Texas driver's license and a clear driving history
  • ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen test
  • strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • detail-oriented with good time management skills
  • pleasant and friendly demeanor with an outgoing personality
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel) and web navigation for research
  • must meet TDADS qualifications
  • available to work evenings and weekends as required for scheduled events
  • participate in Manager on Duty rotation

Job Duties

  • Planning and implementation of appropriate activities per day in terms of quality, interest, and needs
  • creation of the monthly activity calendar and newsletter for the assisted living and memory care neighborhoods
  • complete at least six hours of continuing education each year regarding Alzheimer's disease or related disorders
  • carry out the planning of large and small parties and special events
  • manage the departmental budget
  • inform residents and staff of changes to scheduled programming in a timely manner
  • evaluate programming quality and participation on an ongoing basis
  • communicate with residents and families regarding participation and satisfaction with activity programs
