Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years experience in human resources or management operations
  • OR 2-year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related major
  • 2 years experience in human resources or management operations
  • Ability to communicate changes in benefit plans
  • Experience in managing disciplinary actions
  • Knowledge of compliance with labor laws
  • Capacity to participate in hiring interviews
  • Ability to manage performance reviews and merit increases
  • Skilled in employee relations and conflict resolution
  • Must work full time on-site at Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Waikiki Beach

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in human resources or management
  • OR 2-year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with 2 years of experience in human resources or management
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience in employee relations and disciplinary procedures
  • Ability to manage performance appraisal systems
  • Proficient in HR compliance and audit processes
  • Experience in recruitment and talent development
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Execute strategies to attract, retain, and develop talent
  • Direct recruitment, compensation, employee relations, and training activities
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Manage employee disciplinary actions and documentation
  • Coach managers on progressive discipline
  • Participate in interviewing and hiring HR staff
  • Oversee performance evaluations and merit increase processes
  • Foster open and collaborative employee relations
  • Communicate benefit plan changes and property policies
  • Respond to unemployment claims and attend hearings
  • Ensure compliance with HR audits and file retention
  • Organize community engagement events
