Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
  • 10 plus years of overall HR experience including recruiting, training, benefits administration
  • 3 to 5 years of HR leadership experience preferably in hospitality or customer service
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Budget management experience preferred
  • Highly organized and motivated
  • Experience with HRIS and ATS systems such as PeopleSoft and Taleo helpful

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
  • 10 plus years of total HR experience including talent acquisition, associate relations, training and development, benefits administration
  • 3 to 5 years or more of proven HR leadership experience preferably in hotel, resort, customer service, or hospitality setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with all levels of the organization
  • Budget management experience highly preferred
  • High degree of organization and motivation
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft (HRIS) and/or Taleo Enterprise (ATS)
  • Past Marriott brand experience is ideal but not required

Job Duties

  • Oversee all areas of Human Resources administration including associate relations, recruiting, onboarding, training and development, benefit administration, leave of absence, workers compensation, policy compliance, culture building, and community involvement
  • Provide guidance on associate relations issues such as investigations, coaching/counseling, and policy enforcement
  • Recommend, evaluate and support Marriott and Marcus Hotels’ brand training and development programs while staying current with industry trends
  • Facilitate annual goal setting, performance reviews, salary increases, and bonus payouts for all eligible associates
  • Develop annual budgets for salaried labor and HR operating expenses and ensure accurate expense forecasting
  • Act as a member of the Executive Committee collaborating with peers to support operational departments
  • Serve as a strategic partner helping develop high potential leaders and advocate for their progression
  • Champion associate recognition and service excellence programs to elevate service standards
  • Ensure communication of and compliance with all policies, standards, and legal requirements related to employment
  • Provide HR generalist oversight related to compensation practices, benefit plans, leave administration, workers compensation, safety, and security compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
