Job Requirements
- Two-year college degree or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 2 years related work experience
- Advanced computer skills preferred
- Knowledge of housekeeping procedures and hotel policies
- Strong leadership abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be service oriented with customer service and sales skills
- Able to work in English language proficiently
- Energetic and outgoing
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions accurately
- Team player
- Able to understand basic financial information
- Ability to type 45 wpm
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Opera software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to travel as needed for hotel operations
Job Qualifications
- Two-year college degree or equivalent preferred
- 2+ full years of employment in a related position
- Advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office and Outlook preferred
- Thorough knowledge of the housekeeping field
- Knowledge of hotel/OLS policies and procedures
- Strong supervision and management skills
- Ability to compile facts and figures
- Ability to communicate effectively to management and guests
- Working knowledge of property safety and security procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Energetic and outgoing personality
- Ability to follow directions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
- Team player able to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to understand and work with basic financial information
- Typing speed of 45 wpm
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Opera software
- Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion
Job Duties
- Supervise the housekeeping employees to attract, retain and motivate them while providing a safe work environment
- Interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel staff
- Recommend and conduct performance and salary reviews and recommend discipline and termination as appropriate
- Supervise and inspect daily cleaning of guest rooms, public areas and back of the house
- Ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs, LSOPs and SOPs and health/sanitation standards and regulations
- Monitor and report on payroll and supply expenses to control costs while ensuring adequate staffing and supplies
- Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction
- Coordinate maintenance issues with Engineering to protect hotel assets and maintain a safe, accident-free environment
- Log items into Lost and Found and answer inquiries
- Implement emergency training and procedures for protection of guests, staff and assets
