Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • minimum of 4 years of successful hotel sales experience
  • demonstrated past performance versus goals
  • ability to work varied schedules including holidays and weekends
  • capability to sit for extended periods, lift up to 10 pounds, bend, reach and use hands to operate keyboard
  • willingness to travel locally between hotel and client locations

Job Qualifications

  • minimum successful track record of at least 4 years in hotel sales
  • ability to demonstrate past performance versus goals
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency in sales and customer relationship management tools

  • professional sales and negotiation skills

Job Duties

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support sales manager and sales associates
  • leverage the sales tools and reporting available to achieve desired results
  • maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel to previous, current and potential clients
  • use professional sales techniques to negotiate the best possible terms and conditions that satisfy customer (internal and external) requirements
  • manage accounts ensuring pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented
  • coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts
  • maintain hotel relationships with key accounts to increase customer satisfaction and account revenue
  • develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients
  • articulate and leverage the benefits of the hotel to close sales opportunities
  • travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel and review competition
  • represent hotel at trade shows
  • perform other duties as requested by management
