Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum seven years related experience
- Three years as Class A PGA member
- Three to five years golf operations management experience
- Maintain PGA of America membership
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software
- Ability to work full-time in Arvada, Colorado
- Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting 30 pounds and operating motor vehicles
- Ability to travel lightly within the district
- Customer focused attitude
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations
- Organizational and financial management skills
- Ability to manage multiple departments and staff
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum seven years of related experience, including three years as Class A PGA member
- Three to five years of golf operations management experience
- Fundamental knowledge of golf rules, facility operations, and tournament management
- Proven supervisory and organizational skills
- Strong financial management and budgeting experience
- Excellent customer service and marketing abilities
- Up-to-date knowledge of customer relationship management strategies
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, POS systems, reservation, and tournament database applications
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Ability to maintain a credible golf game
- PGA of America membership in good standing in an active classification
- Commitment to positive professional image and community engagement
Job Duties
- Plan, administer, and maintain all golf facility operations including golf course, restaurant, meeting and banquet rooms, and maintenance
- Develop and coordinate long-range and annual business plans for operating and capital budgets
- Analyze and monitor monthly financial statements, income, and expenses
- Ensure operational compliance with local, state, and federal laws and contractual obligations
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, motivation, supervision, and evaluation of all golf department staff
- Develop and implement operational policies, programs, and procedures
- Monitor daily operations, including rounds played, fees, customer satisfaction, and staff performance
- Coordinate finance functions including accounting, inventories, banking, audit procedures, and cash flow
- Serve as member of men’s, seniors, and ladies’ golf committees
- Oversee care and maintenance of physical assets and facilities
- Coordinate marketing and promotional programs for facility services and amenities
- Manage retail merchandise concession including planning, purchasing, inventory, and POS system management
- Monitor reservation system, pace of play, recordkeeping, and fleet management
- Develop and manage tournament programs, group outings, and golf leagues
- Manage golf instruction and player development programs
- Ensure availability of professional instructors and utilization of PGA player development resources
- Maintain and update customer database
- Supervise golf course superintendent, food and beverage managers, and manager of golf
