Job Description

The Indian Tree Golf Course is a distinguished 27-hole public golf facility located within the Apex Park and Recreation District. It serves a vibrant metropolitan community of approximately 140,000 residents and sees around 200,000 visitors annually, with an average of 76,000 rounds of golf played each year. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in golf management, business administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum five years of experience in golf facility management or related hospitality management
  • Proven supervisory experience managing diverse teams
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets and financial reports
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations relevant to golf and hospitality operations
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to perform light lifting, stooping, kneeling, and operating motor vehicles
  • Valid driver's license
  • Commitment to fostering diversity and inclusivity

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, and golf facility operations
  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
  • Experience with customer relationship management tactics
  • Ability to maintain a credible golf game and remain current on teaching innovations
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, POS systems, reservation software, and tournament databases
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in supervising and motivating staff
  • Membership in PGA of America in good standing

Job Duties

  • Plan, administer, and maintain overall golf facility operations including golf course, restaurant, and meeting rooms
  • Develop and coordinate long-range and annual business plans including operating and capital budgets
  • Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and district policies
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate all golf department staff including department heads
  • Implement operational policies and monitor daily functions to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Oversee retail merchandise concession including purchasing, inventory, record keeping, and POS management
  • Develop and manage tournament programs, group outings, leagues, and player development initiatives
  • Monitor reservation systems, pace of play, and fleet management of carts and maintenance vehicles
  • Maintain and promote compliance with PGA of America membership and player development programs
