Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years food and beverage operation experience
  • 3-5 years management experience
  • culinary, sales, and service background
  • safe server alcohol and food handlers certification
  • at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
  • ability to provide and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • strong communication skills
  • good organizational skills
  • intermediate computer skills
  • ability to work independently
  • ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • ability to push and pull carts up to 250 lbs
  • ability to work in controlled and extreme temperatures

Job Qualifications

  • must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace

  • knowledge of computer programs, math skills, and budgetary analysis capabilities required
  • ability to analyze and foresee user needs and make judgments
  • knowledgeable about Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, key system, and POS

  • thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • thorough knowledge of food products, standard recipes, and proper preparation

Job Duties

  • Plan and direct the functions of the food and beverage outlets to meet daily operation needs
  • responsible for short and long term planning of all outlets including restaurant, bar, and in-room dining
  • monitor industry trends and update beverage lists and menu items as necessary
  • prepare the food and beverage budget and monitor department performance
  • maintain communication with vendors and suppliers for timely rollout of seasonal food options
  • participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual inventories and submit reports to accounting
  • develop and implement creative strategies for revenue enhancement and cost containment
  • develop, implement, and monitor schedules for restaurant, bar, and in-room dining teams
  • collaborate with culinary team to create menus targeting specific customer markets
  • consult with sales and banquet teams and other departments
  • manage payroll and time and attendance for food and beverage staff
  • implement effective control of food, beverage, and labor costs
  • establish and achieve profit objectives and quality standards
  • conduct orders of food and beverage supplies
  • stay up to date on brand requirements and restaurant changes
  • maintain quality and consistency in food delivery and standards
  • ensure attendance at all mandatory meetings
  • lead and coach team toward exceptional guest service and staff satisfaction
  • maintain high energy, positive attitude, and professional appearance
  • review customer acceptance and recommend marketing or operating changes
  • continuously evaluate and improve staff performance
  • arrange and supervise training and cross-training of staff
  • serve as a role model adhering to policies and high performance standards
  • assist with guest inquiries
  • follow safety and security policies
  • report maintenance or safety issues
  • perform other reasonable job duties
