Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum four years of supervisory or management experience
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds for clinical staff and 50 pounds for non-clinical staff
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to solve complex problems and interpret instructions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
  • Full-time availability during day shift

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Food and Nutrition, Hospitality Management, or related field
  • Four years of supervisory or management experience
  • Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration preferred
  • Licensed Dietitian in the State of Texas preferred
  • Certification as Certified or Master Chef or Registered RHIM preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish considered an asset

Job Duties

  • Assess department needs and project future requirements
  • Monitor staff performance and technical abilities
  • Promote professional development and provide appropriate training
  • Manage staff through feedback, coaching, and motivation
  • Develop performance and quality improvement recommendations
  • Prepare statistical reports for regulatory compliance
  • Supervise daily work activities and delegate authority
  • Conduct safety audits and maintain a safe work environment
  • Ensure infection control policy compliance
  • Lead and support supervisors and staff to deliver quality health care
  • Administer and monitor departmental budgets
  • Oversee daily food service operations including room service and menu planning
  • Maintain sanitary kitchen and storage facilities and monitor food safety processes
  • Resolve patient, employee, and physician concerns promptly
  • Foster team cohesiveness at unit and client levels
