Job Requirements
- College or university degree or equivalent experience
- eight or more years of related experience
- computer literacy in Point of Sale and sales and catering applications
- knowledge of fine dining and beverage service procedures
- understanding of liquor laws and regulations
- familiarity with Food and Beverage equipment
- relevant food handling permits, licenses, or certifications
- proficiency in English reading, writing, and comprehension
- strong communication skills
- basic math skills including calculations and data interpretation
- ability to foster teamwork
- proficiency in Microsoft Office
- strong management and organizational skills
- financial management experience
- strong people management abilities
- knowledge of labor and industry-specific regulations
Job Qualifications
- College or university degree with eight or more years of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- strong working knowledge of fine dining and beverage service procedures
- working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations
- proficiency with Point of Sale systems and sales and catering computer applications
- strong communication skills including report writing and presentations
- ability to create a team environment across departments
- basic computer skills in Microsoft Office
- strong general management and financial management skills
- strong people management skills including coaching, motivating, delegating, and scheduling
- ability to understand and apply labor and industry-specific laws and regulations
Job Duties
- Plans food and beverage operations ensuring profitability and efficiency
- establishes standards for food and beverage quality, presentation, handling, sanitation, and safety
- develops policies and procedures to meet or exceed standards
- prepares operating budgets and financial plans
- establishes and maintains budgeted supply and labor costs
- conducts industry research to project trends
- collaborates with Executive Chef on menu planning and pricing
- ensures security of supplies, equipment, and inventory
- supports pre-opening activities for new properties
- communicates regularly with all departments
- monitors food and beverage service during operations
- conducts inspections of dining, kitchen, and storage areas
- reports unsafe conditions and maintains equipment
- participates in Manager on Duty program
- addresses client, guest, and team member requests
- selects, trains, develops, schedules, disciplines, and counsels staff
- conducts performance assessments
- performs duties of supervised positions as needed
- provides training on job standards
