Job Requirements

  • BA or BS degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of relevant management experience
  • advanced food service sanitation certification
  • excellent communication skills
  • sound decision-making ability
  • English fluency
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS systems
  • team-oriented and fast-paced work experience
  • knowledge of venue concessions and premium service operations
  • valid Food Handlers certificate
  • valid Alcohol Service Permit if required
  • inventory and menu planning experience
  • understanding of sanitation and alcohol service policies
  • strong math skills

Job Qualifications

  • BA or BS with business-related major
  • minimum 5-7 years management experience in food-related or concessions industry
  • nationally recognized advanced food service sanitation training course certification
  • ability to communicate clearly and professionally with employees, management staff, and guests
  • ability to make sound business and operations decisions quickly under pressure
  • proficiency in English language speaking, reading, and writing
  • solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, POS systems, and timekeeping systems
  • ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
  • thorough knowledge of concessions and premium services locations and procedures
  • possession of valid Food Handlers certificate and Alcohol Service Permit if required
  • familiarity with inventory cost control and menu planning
  • thorough working knowledge of sanitation and food preparation requirements relating to Oak View Group and venue operations
  • ability to perform complex math functions
  • ability to handle cash responsibly
  • commitment to integrity, professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality
  • ability to work independently with little direction

Job Duties

  • Assist in the overall effective management of the catering, concessions and merchandise operations
  • oversee and lead the catering sales efforts including directing the catering team and managing sales and marketing activities
  • ensure total compliance with all alcohol service policies and monitor alcohol service during events
  • assist in managing catered events including communication with hourly staff, culinary staff, and guests
  • ensure legal, efficient, professional and profitable operation of the venue
  • generate and review financial reports such as budgets, projections, forecasting, revenue analysis, labor and product costs, and P&L statements
  • handle conflict resolution, arbitration, and labor negotiations when applicable
  • author, review and amend policies and procedures as requested
  • oversee scheduling and labor allocation
  • analyze ticket sales in relation to staffing needs and target demographics
  • evaluate sales and purchasing data to identify purchasing patterns and cost of goods
  • program and maintain point of sale systems for accurate financial reporting
  • direct and assist managers in preparing for future goals and follow up on assignments
  • inspect operations regularly to maintain quality standards
  • prepare and submit required reports accurately and timely
  • develop an effective management team and evaluate manager performance
  • review and assist in menu and marketing plan development
  • establish and maintain positive relationships with show managers, suppliers, vendors, and the public
