Job Requirements

  • BA or BS degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years management experience in food services or concessions
  • Certification in advanced food service sanitation
  • Valid Food Handlers certificate and Alcohol Service Permit if required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage staff and operations efficiently
  • Proficient with computer applications including POS and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to handle financial reporting and budgeting
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Ability to maintain compliance with labor, sanitation, and alcohol laws
  • Experience in sales and marketing related to food and beverage

Job Qualifications

  • BA or BS with business-related major
  • Accounting minor or credits preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years management experience in food-related or concessions industry
  • Nationally recognized advanced food service sanitation training course certification
  • Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of staff and guests
  • Strong decision-making skills under pressure
  • Proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, POS systems, and timekeeping systems
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, team-oriented, event-driven environments
  • Knowledge of concessions locations, equipment, evacuation procedures and facility access
  • Possess valid Food Handlers certificate and Alcohol Service Permit if required
  • Familiarity with inventory cost control and menu planning
  • Thorough knowledge of sanitation, food preparation, alcohol service policies, and safety standards
  • Strong math skills including complex calculations
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • High integrity, professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently with little direction

Job Duties

  • Assist in the overall effective management of catering, concessions and merchandise operations
  • Oversee and lead catering sales efforts including directing catering team and managing sales and marketing activities
  • Ensure total compliance with all alcohol service policies and monitor alcohol service during events
  • Assist in management of catered events from set-up to tear down including coordinating communication with staff, culinary teams and guests
  • Ensure legal, efficient, professional and profitable operation of the venue
  • Generate and review financial reports such as budgets, projections, revenue analysis, and profit and loss statements
  • Handle conflict resolution, mediation, arbitration, and labor negotiations when applicable
  • Author, review, and amend policies and procedures as requested
  • Author and amend contracts and authorize terms as directed
  • Oversee scheduling and labor allocation
  • Analyze ticket sales, target market demographics, and staffing needs
  • Evaluate sales and purchasing data to identify purchasing patterns and cost controls
  • Program and maintain point of sale system for accurate financial reporting
  • Direct and assist managers in preparing and attaining future goals
  • Provide managers with clear direction and follow up on assignments
  • Inspect the operation regularly to ensure quality standards
  • Prepare and submit accurate reports and ensure departmental compliance
  • Develop an effective management team and evaluate manager’s performance
  • Review and assist in development of menus and marketing plans
  • Establish and maintain relationships with show managers, suppliers, vendors, and the public
