Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience in food and beverage management
  • Proven track record of leading large teams in a hotel or resort environment
  • Strong financial management skills including budgeting and cost control
  • Ability to develop and implement operational strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of service and appearance

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Plan and direct the functions of administration and planning of the food and beverage department to meet daily operational needs
  • Clearly articulate, delegate and ensure responsibility and authority for the operation of various food and beverage departments such as in-room dining, outlets, banquets, culinary department
  • Develop, implement and monitor schedules for all food and beverage outlets to achieve profitability
  • Implement effective control of food, beverage and labor costs across sub-departments
  • Assist managers in establishing and achieving profit objectives and standards of quality food, service, cleanliness, merchandising and promotion
  • Regularly review customer acceptance of outlets and recommend new operating and marketing policies
  • Develop operational tools including budgeting, forecasting, purchase specifications, recipes, portion control, and job descriptions
  • Evaluate and encourage improvement of department personnel through training and development programs
  • Direct and ensure adherence to food and beverage standards, manage staff schedules, respond to guest needs and resolve complaints
  • Develop and manage the food and beverage annual budget, marketing plan and objectives
  • Market food and beverage services in conjunction with sales to meet financial goals
  • Investigate and implement new menus, promotions and service methods
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards and regulations
  • Lead the food and beverage team providing coaching, maintaining high standards of personal behavior and appearance
  • Maintain effective communication internally and with guests
  • Conduct meetings to provide organizational updates and educate staff on changes
  • Support other food and beverage outlets and assist in restaurant or kitchen as needed
  • Respond to tasks assigned by the General Manager
