Job Requirements
- Education corresponding to experience level
- Proven progressive hotel or related field experience
- Proficiency in computer applications including Windows and company-approved software
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations including liquor laws
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Attendance at required meetings and trainings
- Commitment to appearance and grooming standards

Job Qualifications
- At least 6 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field or a 4-year college degree with at least 3 years of related experience or a 2-year college degree with 4 or more years of related experience
- Proficient in Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing
- Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health department rules, liquor laws and regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Strong listening and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Service-oriented attitude
- Attendance at all required hotel meetings and trainings
- Ability to participate in manager-on-duty coverage
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Compliance with hotel standards and regulations
- Ability to handle problems proactively
- Ability to evaluate complex information from multiple sources

Job Duties
- Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and employees
- Supervise all food and beverage personnel
- Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner
- Prepare and monitor the food and beverage budget
- Monitor industry trends and take action to maintain competitiveness
- Collaborate with executive committee members on F&B issues
- Coordinate loss prevention in the F&B department
- Prepare and submit required reports
- Conduct regular department meetings
- Monitor quality of service and product
- Participate in menu planning and preparation
- Ensure timely procurement of F&B items within budget
- Oversee employee cafeteria operations
- Ensure compliance with liquor laws, health and sanitation regulations
- Maintain departmental compliance with standard operating procedures
- Train department heads on SOPs and job tasks
- Attend and conduct training sessions
- Interview and hire front-of-house F&B candidates
- Attend all required meetings including convention meetings
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
