Job Requirements

  • Five years of related experience in a food and beverage capacity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Significant attention to detail
  • Complete understanding of NOI profitability and budget goals
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, state health department rules and state liquor laws
  • Computer skills with hotel information systems preferred
  • Excellent guest service skills

Job Duties

  • Monitor industry trends, update beverage lists and menu items as necessary
  • Prepare the food and beverage budget and monitor department performance
  • Work with the General Manager to stay informed of food and beverage issues
  • Coordinate and monitor loss prevention efforts, conduct monthly inventories, research cost variances
  • Comply with local liquor laws and health and sanitation regulations
  • Interview front-of-house candidates and manage hiring approvals
  • Conduct daily shift and monthly departmental meetings, ensure ongoing guest service training and SOP compliance
  • Attend all required meetings including pre-event and post-event
  • Provide training and tools to employees for delivering an exceptional fine dining experience
  • Develop and implement employee engagement strategies
  • Maintain product consistency through inspections
  • Prepare and submit reports timely
