Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or four to six years related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Preferred 4 year degree
  • Experience in multi-faceted Food and Beverage operations
  • Prior food and beverage experience in a private club
  • Minimum 3 years as a Food and Beverage Director

  • Knowledge of hospitality POS system applications, hardware, software, and menu programming

Job Duties

  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates
  • Address complaints and resolve problems
  • Manage department members including servers, reservationists, runners, bartenders, hosts, banquet, and building maintenance
  • Assist with budget preparation for all Food and Beverage areas
  • Review current day's business levels and assign priorities
  • Relay pertinent information to key staff including Executive Chef, Beverage Manager, Dining Manager, Executive Offices, Concierge, and Membership Office
  • Assist General Manager in monitoring success of Food and Beverage departments and associates including performance reviews
  • Conduct regular staff meetings with colleagues and subordinates
  • Assure effective orientation and training for new associates and develop ongoing training programs
  • Prepare and monitor quarterly revenue goals and expenses
  • Generate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business volume reports and forecasts
  • Oversee pre-approving, receiving, and inventory control for all Food and Beverage related areas
