Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Serve Safe certification or equivalent required
  • ability to obtain culinary or dietary manager certification preferred
  • state and county-specific certifications required
  • at least two years supervisory experience in a dietary environment
  • experience in senior living, hospitality, or healthcare dining preferred
  • strong leadership and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • state and county-specific certifications
  • minimum two years supervisory experience in dietary environment
  • experience in senior living or healthcare dining preferred
  • knowledge of productivity, costs, budgets, energy conservation, purchasing, receiving, storage, preparation and serving techniques, pilferage and portion control, personnel development, kitchen sanitation, and dietary department management

Job Duties

  • Recruit staff
  • hire and train employees
  • motivate and educate team members
  • maintain department records
  • perform administrative functions
  • establish and direct kitchen sanitation procedures
  • coordinate special functions with community leadership
  • ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
