Job Requirements
- Ability to speak read write and understand English
- Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
- Minimum of three years as Food and Beverage Director in a luxury high volume hotel
- Five to seven years experience in a diversity of Food and Beverage management positions
- Knowledge of hotel operations marketing plans security and safety programs personnel and labor relations preparation of business plans repairs maintenance budget forecasting quality assurance programs hospitality law and long range planning
- Proven ability to host facilitate effective meetings motivate teams to produce results with tight timeframes while simultaneously managing several projects
- Ability to utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead influence and encourage others advocate sound financial business decision making demonstrate honesty integrity lead by example
- Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality or Business related major
- Minimum of three years as Food and Beverage Director in a luxury high volume hotel
- Five to seven years experience in diverse Food and Beverage management positions
- Knowledge of hotel operations including marketing, safety programs, personnel and labor relations, business plans, maintenance, budget forecasting, and hospitality law
- Proven ability to lead effective meetings and motivate teams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with integrity and honesty
- Ability to work well under pressure
Job Duties
- Ensure all food and beverage operations meet JW Marriott quality and service standards
- Manage and develop a team to deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Devise and monitor annual budgets and control labor and operating expenses
- Develop relationships with key suppliers and negotiate contracts
- Promote business through creative marketing ideas and reduce employee turnover
- Review and implement restaurant and bar schedules to achieve profitability
- Analyze financial statements and take corrective actions to maximize profitability
