Job Requirements
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption as a condition of employment
- Compliance with additional vaccination requirements such as MMR, chicken pox, hepatitis, and flu as needed
- Ability to manage a culinary services department including staffing and budgeting
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety
Job Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree, culinary arts program preferred
- Successful completion of recognized food safety course
- Minimum of five years’ experience as executive chef or similar role in hospitality industry
- Minimum of three years’ experience in food service systems administration and management
- Experience in senior living community preferred
Job Duties
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive culinary services program to create a positive customer experience
- Supervise the Culinary Services Department including hiring, directing work, appraising performance, and disciplining employees
- Research, plan, develop, produce, and serve menu cycle programs compliant with nutritional and dietary regulations
- Meet or exceed established budgetary and financial guidelines
- Perform hands-on cooking, serving, and dishwashing as necessary
- Ensure professional, trained, properly uniformed, and talented staff
- Periodically visit residents to evaluate food service and make operational improvements
